A Russian destination- Egypt

I have been writing this blog for over year now and enjoy doing so and I hope you enjoy it dear reader. Life in Moscow is a challenge but an interesting challenge. Its turned cold now and is about - 20 outside. I wrapped up my kid in his tights, under clothes, ski pants, gloves, hat and was about to leave the flat to take him to his part time kindergarten, when I smelt that familiar bottom smell, that I have become so used to since he arrived. I then had to undo all his clothes like you would unwrap a bulky gift box tied up in string and put a new nappy on him and dress him up all over again to go out. How do kids time their toilet at these moments? The wind makes it colder here, but ironically there is no snow at this time. I believe there is more snow back home in England than there is here.

We will soon be escaping the cold clutches of the big freezer and heading to a very Russian destination of Egypt. I have been warned to expect many drunk loud Russians, but frankly they don't scare me or worry me. I come from the land of loud drunk hooligans, so nothing will be worse than that. I only hope its not too noisy near our room. We had to pay for this holiday in cash, no credit cards accepted and you have to go in person to the agency to collect your booking details. What a palaver but there is not much choice if you want a holiday. Egypt is about four hours away by plane from Moscow. Lets hope its hot and that we don't get eaten by sharks!

  1. I am looking forward to hearing about your Egypt experience. It is a trip I am considering because I heard how affordable it is from Russia. I, too, have heard the stories of the drinking and loud music and am curious if you will get some relaxation time. Enjoy!

  2. I'll let you know Craig. I am sure its not as bad at they say. You get drunks everywhere my fellow Brits are the worst so Russians don't worry me.
