Technical issues
Server not found
I have been trying for a few days to view my blog via "conventional" ways only to be told on my computer that "the server is not found" and yet others can see my blog. Could this be censorship of the Russian kind? Will I find myself cast in irons and trucked off to deep Siberia for the next 20 years? Have I said too many negative things about Russia? This seems unlikely when I am just a boring stay at home dad and not an international spy or a Human rights activist.
Its easy to become paranoid, especially when you live in Russia but I think it maybe more a technical issue rather than state control, although nothing is what it seems. I have lost the energy to post on here these days. I have run out of inspiration dear reader. I bid you farewell for now.
Update: if you like this blog please make a donation it will go to a charity. I have also made a crude guide to Moscow that you may find useful. See to the right on this web page and scroll down.

Your boy is adorable!
ReplyDeleteAs for the server, I'm sure it's a technical problem. Don't give up!
Hi Englishman,
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that your posts have not been as frequent as they were before...don't worry about it. Inspiration will come eventually. I do want to tell you that I really love reading your blog....I stay at home with my twin girls and one day not too far back was particularly frustrating for me. Your post that day really put a smile on my face, I even told my husband about it when he got home. Call me crazy, but yes it really perks me up when I'm having a bad day to know that somewhere in Moscow, some Brit I have nver met is sawing the skin off his foot in his kitchen. You just can't find blogs like that anywhere else. Hope everything works out for you.
Jenny
Thanks Jenny. I will try to think of something. You have twins double trouble. Are you living in Moscow? This blog is not very much read or known about :-( I would have liked twins then the baby jobs would have been over... although I am lucky to have one beautiful boy. Keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteHi Englishman,
ReplyDeleteCould u please tell if there is anything in Russian cuisine what u like?:)
P.S. Going to London this summer, yo!
There is nothing in Russian cooking that has caused me to love it so far but I will wait and see!! English cooking is not so great except Roast Beef and a good curry. Enjoy London and be safe!
